Kate Reading and Michael Kramer alternate narrating this novella, part of the Stormlight Archive series. The story allows minor characters to step into the spotlight. Rysn is a wheelchair-bound shipowner who is hoping to treat her magical pet by traveling to its ancestral island home. The only catch is that the island is surrounded by a permanent storm that no one has ever survived. The novella is heavy on background information, making it less accessible to new listeners.
